Great video, but... that loop knot looks wrong or something got edited out... after going through the hook eye, it should go back through the overhand loop before doing the twists and going back through it again? I also find that which way through the overhand loop matters to the strength of the knot too so it is worth showing that part if it was edited out. Unless it is meant to be a different knot that I haven't seen but I'll keep doing the lefty/non-slip I think

For many new fishermen it is important to remove the hook immediately and keep the fish in the water, think of yourself being kept in the water and you are almost out of Oxygen so when fish begin to fight as you hold them they are telling you to put them back in the water

Not only are you catching beautiful fish you also have gorgeous scenery around you. Does it matter what material the frame of the net is made of? reason why I ask is because you are using this net at different locations and the net can have bacteria from one site and you'll transfer to another and if so what to do to prevent.

The New Fly Fisher crew needs to visit All Alaska Outdoors in Soldotna Alaska. I just returned from there yesterday. We caught several Pike over 40 inches including one 45 inch giant. Wild Fly productions has been there twice. Dr. Bob and crew are the best. Grayling on dry flies, too many to count. Rainbow trout, Char, Dolly Varden, Salmon and Lake Trout are all available to target. Best trip ever !

Boy, Bill's losta lot of weight. Cool episode - always enjoy that water. I have a trailer on the Rocky Saugeen - some of the best trout fishing in the area - lot of private property but I could get these guys access. This is a spring river - water is super clear - you can often see them. Not uncommon to see fish well over 5lbs - I've caught a few closer to 10lbs and too many to count this size.

I don’t understand the whitefish hate. A native indicator species. Just unhook them and release them like normal, no need to toss them back and do whitefish backflips.
